20x Optical Zoom with 4-Drive Lens System

By driving each lens group separately, drive ranges are reduced to deliver high-image quality and high-powered zooming. It also keeps the body compact, even with a 20x optical zoom.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) Movie

Capture clear Shots with Excellent Detail in Both Bright and Dark Areas. By combining two images taken with different exposure times, the HDR Movie function suppresses blown highlights and blocked shadows for crisper, clearer videos. This is the world's first consumer camcorder to feature the HDR Movie function. Even in difficult shooting situations, such as backlighting, you can easily record true-to-life videos with excellent gradation.

Wireless Twin Camera—Use Your Smartphone as a Sub Camera

Using your smartphone's Wi-Fi, you can shoot from two angles at the same time. And because you're shooting with two different cameras, you shoot from any distance or angle you choose for a variety of Picture-in-Picture images.

BSI Sensor

The Back Side Illumination Sensor has a large effective area with 6.03M effective pixels, suppressing noise even when shooting in dimly lit conditions, such as indoor scenes or nightscapes. It delivers stunningly beautiful images even down to the tiniest details. Crystal Engine is Panasonic's unique, high-speed engine lets you shoot and play smooth Slow Motion Video in Full-HD. Its Noise Reduction function reduces noise for crisp, vibrantly colorful Full-HD images.

Full-HD Slow Motion Video

Records Full-HD (1920 x 1080) at 120 fps. And the Intelligent Frame Creation of the Crystal Engine interpolates to an equivalent of 240 fps, for smooth slow motion. Easily switch to slow motion while recording with a simple touch on the LCD screen.

High-Quality Sound Recording

Wind Shield Zoom Microphone — A special damping material between the mic and mic net suppresses wind noise for clear recording.

High-Quality Audio Parts — Four 6mm-diameter, high-S/N mics and aluminum electrolytic capacitors reduce sound distortion and increase clarity.

iA (intelligent Auto) / iA Plus Mode

iA senses shooting conditions to automatically adjust settings and activate functions for optimal results. This powerful mode also lets you adjust exposure compensation and white balance with a single button on the LCD.

Level Shot Function

Level Shot automatically detects and corrects tilting in images. It can be adjusted to three different levels—OFF, Normal or Strong—depending on shooting conditions. 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S.+ from wide-angle to powerful zoom shots, HYBRID O.I.S. + uses five-axis correction to suppress blurring. It lets you capture crisp, clear images in nearly any shooting situation.

Remote Pan Tilt Cradle (optional)

Connect to an optional cradle to rotate the camera automatically. The motion sensor and Face Recognition function automatically capture faces at parties. You can also register shooting angles in advance to switch from your smartphone. The camera even watches over pets when you're not home. You can operate the camcorder remotely from your smartphone or tablet with the Panasonic Image App.

Wi-Fi Functions

One-touch Connection — NFC lets you instantly connect a smartphone or tablet to the camcorder with just one touch. Even without an NFC phone, QR codes are provided to make Wi-Fi settings.

Remote Shooting / Remote View — The “Panasonic Image App” lets you use a smartphone or tablet as a real-time remote to control the camcorder from a distance. Videos and photos inside the camera can be viewed on a smartphone or tablet, and uploaded to an SNS site.

Real-Time Broadcasting — You can live-stream events on USTREAM as they are being recorded in Full-HD resolution

Baby Monitor — Check on the baby anytime from anywhere with a smartphone or tablet. Push Notification sends an instant alert when the audio sensor detects the baby waking or crying.
